Mount Christie Desert Jewel Ace

"My Heart Horse."

Stallion

I am very thankful and proud that Mount Christie Desert Jewel Ace joined our herd in May of 2007.  Thank you to Jennifer Gilson at Desert Jewel Gypsy Horses for making my special boy available.

From the very moment Ace stepped off the trailer here at Mount Christie, I knew that it wouldn't take long for this guy to steal my heart!  His endearing personality stands out immediately upon meeting him.  He is as kind to his humans as he is to his "ladies."     He is easily handled by our whole family and gets along well with the other boys here at Mount Christie.  We are very happy that he was integrated into the broodmare herd with ease and is not having to live the solitary life of most breeding stallions.  Ace happily lives with his mares and foals and seems to nurture his foals as much as their dams do. He is quite adaptable and eager to please.

My husband, Brian  and daughter Maddie,  made the journey from Michigan to Arizona to pick Ace up for me since we were right in the middle of foaling season.  They stopped every evening at various "horsey hotels" along their way and Ace adapted well with every stop they made.  By the time they got home to Mount Christie, we were just starting our breeding season.  The big guy didn't miss a beat!  He covered each of the three girls one time and 18 days later, they were all confirmed in foal.

Ace stands 14.2 hh and has the most gorgeous head which he generously shares with his offspring.  His feather, mane and tail are incredible!  Ace's feather is thick, long and very nicely textured.  His mane is fast approaching his elbow and his thick tail has to be cut monthly to keep him from stepping on it.  His short, compact back is another attribute he seems to share generously with is foals.

Imported from the United Kingdom in 2006 by Desert Jewel Gypsy Horses, Ace is just into his third breeding season in the United States.  He is believed to be out of The Black Mare and by The Ace Horse.   Ace is registered with The Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse Association and registration for the Gypsy Cob Society of America and the Gypsy Vanner Horse Society is getting under way.

Ace will stand for a limited number of qualified, outside mares for 2009.  His stud fee is $1500 which includes a $300 non-refundable booking fee.  Ace is available for live cover and shipped semen.

Ace's  U.S.  Foals

With so few "Ace foals" currently in the states, this is a wonderful opportunity to introduce different bloodlines into your herd!
